A Teacher's Day Dedication

Teacher's Day is a day...
which I never felt was important at all.

Primary school days,
were the only time i made cards for my teachers.
But, merely because i was taught to give cards on this occasion -
Teachers taught me to give cards on mother's day, father's day and teacher's day.
Mom will bring me to little shops to get small little presents for my teachers.
What I was really thinking back then was... just say "okay" to anything they say.

Secondary school,
was quite different.
I stopped giving presents and cards.
Sec 4 was the only year I forked out money and placed my precious signature on a Teacher's day card - a joint present for my form teacher from the whole class, an idea by my then-classmates.
What I was really thinking back then was... "Why should I care?".

In Polytechnic,
I forgot all about teacher's day.

Today,
I sent an e-card to my lecturer, Michael.
Just to say thank you. That's all.

"Gratitude is the memory of the heart." Sorry for taking so long to say thank you.
