Novels for Recommendation

HAIZ.
laptop crashed just when i have to do my IS enrolment.
usin this desktop to enrol will mean i have to depend much on fate.
hope i'll get what i want.
please...

Since my laptop died, i've been rushing my unfinished novels.
started on Saving fish from drowning few nights ago,
well...er...this book, is NOT A GOOD BEDTIME STORY,
it scares me.
Fancy me choosing that time around midnight to start on it..
Will save that book for reading in daytime.
Other 2 novels which i've just finished are Tuesdays with Morrie, and Snow flower & the secret fan.
Tuesdays with Morrie is a nice one.
Touching and meaningful.
Just goes about teaching pple lessons.
While Snow flower and the Secret fan is similar to Bonesetter's daughter, Memoirs of a Geisha..
An autobiography of a woman, and how she live to regret all the remoseful things she did in the past.
This story is filled with good and bad memories,
plus a twist of fate that leads a precious relationship to betrayal, misunderstanding and regrets.
If you guys have the time, can go to the library or bookstores to look this 3 novels up.=)

Learn to Differentiate Right from Wrong

just heard about the "kill stingrays campaign".
why? why kill them and left them tail-less on the beach?
why take revenge? there's nothing wrong with defending oneself.
self-defense is god's gift to all living things.
stingrays are known to stinging predators which are directly above them.
animals dont know humans. they dont study humans.
they dont know how to tell who is the hunter and who's not.
most animals' way of self-defense is to attack(if they're sure they can win) or try to run away(if they're smaller)
its childish and immature to think that you shld take revenge on stingrays just because one killed steve for self-defense.
i seriously hope those killings would stop, and no,
dont think abt eating stingrays for revenge.
we eat stingrays 'cos of our culture. =)

A Pretty Simple Friday.

went raffles maket place with Ade after work.
had to buy some stuffs for my colleagues.
spent quite some time choosing which tibits & chocs to buy.
almost got killed by Ade for my flicker-mindness,
anyway, got some biscuits too.

bought some yellow wrapping paper and black ribbons as materials to wrap my lil' gifts.
hee.
then went to coffee club for some deserts and tea.
Argh! it seems i've nv drank english tea before
was so clumsy with the teapot haha!
i know Ade had a good laugh at me.

had a simple evening..
as we both had to rush home for dinner. =)

Movie with the Girls

met up with Gigi Siyuan & Suzy for movie tonight
and Siyuan was willing to come all the way FROM BEDOK to jurong
heee!
movie: Devil wears Prada.
comments: Good. I love it. Especially when Miranda Presley says "That's all."

had dinner at Bento box.
and i have to say, they still have a very bad service attitude.
stayed there till ard 11pm.
damn tired. but glad i met up with them. =)

IKEA

yea! went IKEA jus now!
weee!
this time i bought stuffs!
heee!
mom was with me, so i happily take stuffs i want
Ha!
and i bought lots of stuffs!
Wahahaha!
wanna go again! Next time, i'll buy curtains, table, and chairs. (if dad allows me to throw this table away)

anyway, made a promise to them that i gonna treat the whole family to dinner for my birthday...
but on 1 CONDITION!
that is... PRESENTS ARE COMPULSORY FOR THIS PROMISE OF MINE TO COME TRUE.
ha~ha^!
so exciting!

If i get to make my birthday a public holiday,
it'll be a public sleeping day.
Everybody is to stay home and sleep.
Nobody is to do business. Not even hawkers.
Nobody is to step out of his house between 5am and 1159pm.
Pple who break this curfew will be shot to death.
What a nice public holiday! =)

Eugene's release from confinement 08.09.2006

yesterday was Eugene (Guo)'s last day
he made cookies and gave all of us 'thank you' cards.
*sob* so sad..
there wont be anybody around for me to bully and to help me with the binding machine, laminating machine and the typewriter in future
SO SAD!!
but it was a relief for Eugene.
when he said goodbye, he NV TURN BACK! Not even once! lolx!
and we all just watch...with envy.
Hah!
yea... but for me, i'm alil' attach to this place
cant bear to leave (which explains the extension of my service whenever the date is nearing my last day)



ok, ya.. so i cant confirm my last day.
I'm too flicker-minded
but i already had a date in mind. =)
